PETER DEPAS was named Vice President of Commercialization in March 2019. Peter has 15 years of commercial leadership experience in the global healthcare industry with a focus on transforming businesses and building sustainable value. His experience in the life sciences industry spans from OEM manufacturing and spine to cardiothoracic disciplines, where he is a recognized inventor among multiple product lines.

Before joining Able, Peter served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at A&E Medical, a global leader in single-use cardiothoracic products specializing in cable-based sternal closures. Prior to this role, he was Vice President of the cardiothoracic business unit of RTI Surgical where he spearheaded the growth and successful sale of the business to A&E. Prior to RTI, he was the Executive Director of Business Development at Pioneer Surgical with experience in both the orthopedic and spine marketspace. Earlier in his career, he served in the automotive industry as a Biorobotics Engineer responsible for the development and commercialization of various life science testing simulations, where he earned a Green Belt in Six Sigma.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from University of Groningen and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Groningen with a concentration in Marketing.
